☸️🐚🌈 Buddha’s First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma - Chökhor Düchen

The Buddha gave his first teaching in Deer Park near Varanasi, 49 days after he displayed the deed of attaining enlightenment in Bodhgaya. This momentous event, the Buddha’s First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma (Chökhor Düchen), is commemorated on the 4th day of the 6th month of the Tibetan calendar, which falls on 28 July this year. According to the Vinaya text “Treasure of Quotations and Logic”, all merit accumulated on this special day is multiplied 100 million times.

🌞 *Recitation of Golden Light Sutra* 1.30pm - 6pm

Reciting the Golden Light Sutra brings immense purification and merit accumulation for the individual, and also peace and happiness for Singapore and the world.

💎 *Shakyamuni Buddha Puja with 1000 Offerings* 7.30pm – 9.30pm

In this puja, we pay homage to the Buddha through recollecting the Buddha's qualities and extensive deeds. We then engage in various practices including making extensive offerings, rejoicing in virtues and dedicating.
