About this place
Gaden Shartse Dro-Phen Ling (GSDPL) was founded to spread the teachings of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni as well as promote Tibetan Buddhism, particularly the Gelug lineage of Lama Tsong Khapa, in Singapore. GSPDL aims to create a welcoming place where people can study the Dharma and meditate, and where Dharma friends can gather and practice together.
Note: The center operates from Tuesday to Sunday: 9.30am to 6:00pm but its hours will extend till 9.30pm on Saturdays when public pujas are on.

What is the history of Gaden Shartse Dro-Phen Ling?
Established by the late Khensur Kyabje Lati Rinpoche, GSDPL is a direct affiliate of Gaden Shartse Norling College, a monastic institution from Tibet, which later reestablished in Mundgod, South India. The first part of GSPDL's name “Gaden Shartse” symbolises that GSDPL's roots hail from Gaden Shartse Monastery. The second part of the name “Dro-Phen Ling” was conferred upon by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in December 2001.
