Vesak
Vesak is a holiday traditionally observed by Buddhists in South Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as Tibet and Mongolia. It is the most important Buddhist festival, as it commemorates the birth, enlightenment, and death of Gautama Buddha1. The date of Vesak changes each year as it takes place at the time of the first full moon of the lunar month of Vesakha, usually in April or May2. This year, it falls on Monday 16 May2
