About the organiser

Organiser Description
The Chinese Theravada Buddhist Education (CTBE) society is a non-profit organization based in Singapore, dedicated to propagating, teaching, and practicing the Buddha-dharma, especially within the Chinese-speaking community. CTBE was officially established in 2023, inspired by the vision and compassion of Ven. Bhante Raja Maha Thero. Recognizing a significant lack of Chinese-language resources for Theravada Buddhism in Singapore, Bhante Raja began his teachings at Mangala Vihara over a decade ago, aiming to bridge this gap and empower his students to continue spreading the Dhamma.

The centre offers a range of programs, including Buddhism courses, Dhamma talks, chanting classes, regular group meditation sessions, meditation retreats, and tea meditations. Additionally, CTBE provides spiritual support services such as funeral chanting, chanting for the sick, spiritual wellness talks, and house blessings.

CTBE’s mission is to actively propagate, learn, and practice the Buddha-dharma, fostering a supportive community for spiritual growth. Its vision is to become an international Buddhist educational hub guided by compassion and wisdom for the enlightenment of all beings.
