Mindfulness for Young Children 2025 Semester 2
6 July 2025, 02:30 PM - 28 September 2025, 03:30 PM
About this event
Our popular Mindfulness for Young Children Programme will resume in Jul 2025! Led by experienced mindfulness teacher Venerable Faxun 法巽法师 and the Buddhist Library’s dedicated Sunday School Teachers, the classes are designed for children of school levels K1 to Pri 6. The classes will include engaging activities that foster social- and emotional well-being, mindfulness games, Buddhist-themed activities and meditation.
About the class structure
- The class will be divided into two: K1 to P2 as of 2025 and P3 to P6 as of 2025
- All lessons will be in English and Mandarin, so your children will get to practice and be exposed to some Mandarin
- Provisions will be made for non-Mandarin speakers so they are also engaged fully.
- NEW This semester, lessons for Lower and Upper Pri will be held on the same days. This makes it easier for parents to send children from both age groups to our classes.
- We will organize Dharma education for parents (if you would like to attend them) during the same lesson times i.e. when children are attending lessons from 2pm – 3.30pm, we will also organize sessions for parents. These will likely take the form of teaching by our Buddhist Library resident monks as well as adhoc programmes. We will update parents of registered children on these plans.
