The Institute of Chinese Buddhism (ICB) warmly invites you to join the fourth lecture of our ICB 2026 Public Lecture Series with Prof. Tsui Chung-hui (崔中慧), esteemed art historian from the University of Hong Kong.

Dunhuang Buddhist Art & Culture

Join Prof. Tsui for an illuminating two-weekend lecture series exploring the visual, religious, and cultural treasures of Dunhuang — one of the most remarkable Buddhist sites on the Silk Road. Through vivid storytelling and scholarly insight, Prof. Tsui will reveal the artistic brilliance and spiritual depth of the Dunhuang cave murals, manuscripts, and iconography.

Dunhuang’s ancient cave temples stand as a living museum of Buddhist art, faith, and history — from intricate murals and manuscripts to radiant depictions of Bodhisattvas and Pure Lands.
