About the Buddhist Library Funfair
The Funfair is a longstanding and well-loved event that features religious services, a large variety of delicious vegetarian food, sale of Buddhist items and a shopping area. It continues to be one of the most important fund-raising events for the Library.

Venue: Open Field in front of Aljunied MRT station

Established in 1983 by the Venerable Bellanwila Dhammaratana, the Singapore Buddhist Library (BL) has become a haven for those seeking to delve into the profound wisdom of Buddhism. The library's extensive collection of over 16,000 books in English and Chinese encompasses a wide spectrum of Buddhist scriptures, doctrine, philosophy, ethics, meditation, devotion, art, and architecture.
Beyond its literary treasures, the BL fosters a vibrant community of Buddhist practitioners through regular events, including meditation sessions, Dhamma talks, and workshops. The library's global network of connections with Buddhist organisations facilitates the exchange of ideas and enriches the understanding of Buddhism on an international scale.
