Exploring Buddhism is a foundational level FPMT study program comprising 8 modules taught in 2 sections. This course is designed to follow and complement the Discovering Buddhism program by exploring in greater detail various topics related to Buddhist philosophy and practice. Module 1 (Exploring the Mind) has been successfully completed. ABC is pleased to launch Module 2 (Exploring the View, Tenets and the Middle Way).

📝 Module 2 Synopsis
In this module, students will learn:
🔸 The two truths, four truths and dependent origination
🔸Introduction to the four Buddhist tenet schools with emphasis on their presentation of the two truths and selflessness
🔸 Introduction to the Middle Way school
🔸 The way to generate the correct view of selflessness according to the Middle Way school
– recognition of the object to be refuted, presentation of different types of reasoning (four-point analysis, sevenfold reasoning and reason of dependent origination)

Module 2 will be held on the following Saturdays, 3.30pm – 5.30pm (subject to change)

👩🏻‍🏫 About the Teacher
Guat Cheng is a student of ABC since early 1990s and has completed the 1st Basic Program (BP), a multi-year in-depth Buddhist philosophy program, in 2010. She attended the 2nd Basic Program (2011 - 2018), for which she was a coordinator and leader for group discussions. She also completed the FPMT Master Program (online). She is currently serving in the ABC Spiritual Program Coordination Committee. Guat Cheng is a registered FPMT teacher.
